Deaf Interpreters
This is a neat article. It is also a coincidence that it was posted this past Friday because in our ASL 400 class Thursday night, we had a special night learning about Deaf interpreters to work and how to work with them.
Yes, I thought that was really interesting how CDIs or DIs (both are deaf interpreters) come into play in the interpreting process. I think it was eye opening for just how much we as hearing people have no clue about.
the interaction part of this class was the most interesting. until i saw how it worked it was hard for me to fully comprehend. laura Smith did a great job with the barriers part ie. what kinds of barriers we will run into in the field of interpreting.
