This Summer

This summer on May 18th there is going to be a Deaf community garage sale. This would be a great experience for those who want to be interacting with deaf culture even when school is out. You'll probably experience different accents and forms of signing as we talked about in class. this would be a great way to develop your signing skills and your knowledge of Deaf culture.

  2. I love any interactions with anyone who is deaf over the summer or any time of year. I have a huge use it or loose it problem when it comes to the summer plus any interactions I have with a deaf individual helps me so much more than just being in the classroom

  3. Your totally right, meeting new Dead people is very exciting. Ht also can be slightly intimidating because this causes a concern of not commending what they are saying!!

Different signing modes is one thing but different signs that are unfamiliar or regional is totally different. Signing styles causes various structures which include either some mouthing or no mouthing at all!

Please don't be hesitant toward meeting new Deaf people, but continue to stay accommodating to their language and respectful as I know you all are!
