Last nights class was very interesting to say the least. I enjoyed seeing everyone's perspectives on the sentences stated in the PowerPoint. I always knew that everyone had their own opinion on different issues or statements, but it was good to see why people believe the things they do. This helped me reinforce my beliefs and also change my thought process on some issues or statements as well.
I definitely agree! I felt this was a very interesting class that kept everyone engaged. In previous classes, I have done similar exercises but we were never permitted to explain our reasoning (to avoid confrontation I assume), but I felt this way was much more beneficial. It helped me look at each sentence from multiple perspectives and forced me to think about whether or not I chose the right corner to stand in.
ReplyDeleteIt's one way to make the ENTIRE class GO STAND IN THE CORNER! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat comment Emily. I completely agree. I loved hearing everyone's ideas and different reasoning for the questions.
ReplyDeleteI think being able to visualize what people's opinions are helps reinforce that no one is ever alone in the views they take and feelings they feel, even if their opinion differs from yours.
