Preparing for 2/25 Class

For class on Monday, February 25th - we will be discussing chapter 10, Early Intervention, Infant and Preschool Programs.

We will continue to use the back channel during large group discussion.  We will also have a small group activity that will deal with the content of chapter 10.  You will need your text books and/or laptops for the small group work.   This may be new content for many of you so having prepared prior to class will enable you to make the most out of the group activity this week.

  1. I thought tonight's class was informative. It was good to hear the different perspectives of my classmates as the discussion turned to parents and their decisions. I applaud those of you who do not have or have not birthed children yet your comments were balanced and nonjudgmental. Thank you. I would say that I could not answer Cathy's question tonight about whether or not I could send my child to a residential school for the deaf. I agreed with many who said it depended on not only their family but the individual child. If I felt it was the best thing for my child then I would send them. If my child was able to handle the separation, then I would send them. However, I also wish to add that I would personally move to the location of the residential school if that was in fact our family's decision for education. Good discussion guys and dolls!
